Spring has sprung! As our Fraternal calendar reaches is close on May 31st, our club has some very important things to address. Foremost of our priorities is the election of new Aerie officers. This annual process promotes fresh ideas and transparency. This year we will be holding nominations at the regular Aerie meeting on April 19th. If you wish to nominate a member or be nominated for an officer position, please plan to do so on that day. Elections for Aerie officers will be held Tuesday, May 3rd. All Aerie members in good standing are welcome to attend, run, nominate and vote. I vehemently encourage you to participate. this is your opportunity to help select the new leaders that will represent you in guiding the future of our club over the next 12 months. After the elections have been ratified by current Aerie officers (a simple formality), the newly-elected officers will be installed Sunday, May 22nd at 2PM. I hope you will participate in every aspect of this process. If you want more information about any part of the nomination process, please let me know.
For the foreseeable future, please check your calendars for upcoming dates and activities. Some regularly scheduled events may have changed as we have been coming up against some unforeseen scheduling conflicts. Which I think is a good problem to have.
On a personal note, since June of 2020 I have served proudly as your Worthy President. I take much pride in the fact that my team and I have been able to accomplish so much, despite a pandemic. I may not have a close connection with all of you but please know that my fellows and I worked diligently to serve you well and I hope that you saw that in our work and dealing on behalf of your club. I have been asked numerous times over the past couple months if I will be seeking a third consecutive term. I will not. As with any leadership role in any organization, fresh insight is necessary for growth and progress. I look forward to supporting the next Worthy President in their new role and look forward to continuing my service to our club as the Junior Past Worthy President, if so elected. I was brought to this club at a very difficult time in my own life. You all have blessed me more that I could ever return. The welcome embrace of new friends for me and my family has been immeasurable. So much so, that I could never repay you for all you've done for me. For that I am eternally grateful. Your constant friendship, support, compassion and care has meant the world to me (and Ari and Scahrlett). I look forward to what our little club with the "million dollar view" will become in the future. All my best to all of you. From the bottom of my heart, that you all for all you have done for me, your club and your community. I have never been so proud to be a part of any organization.
