It has been so great to see the weather changing making our way towards our wonderful summer months. It has also been great to see so much change and more participation of our membership at our club! Our lunches and dinners have been going amazingly and we have been selling out more than ever as well. We are trying to accommodate for that so we don't have to turn anyone away. We are doing our best to keep up with the change in attendance.
We had a great turnout for Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner and sold $615 work of shamrocks and pots of gold to go towards the Puget Sound Honor Flight organization. I'd like to thank everyone who was involved in helping make this a great success and to everyone who attended the meal.
We had our State Madam President and State Worthy President visit our Aerie on March 8th as well as other officers from visiting Aeries. We held a baked potato bar which also benefited the Puget Sound Honor Flight which is the State Madam President's charity as well. I was also able to present a donation check to her for $200. We held a 50/50 drawing which totaled $152 which benefited my charity, Alzheimer/Neurological fund.
In the upcoming months we have some important dates to mark on your calendars.
April 17th: Easter Breakfast - 9AM-Noon
April 22nd: Chicken Teriyaki - 5:30PM till gone
April 26th: Nomination of Officers
May 10th: Election of Officers
May 22nd: Installation of Officers
May 31st: Annual Dues Renewal
This year we have welcomed 55 new members into our Auxiliary, which is more than we have had in the last 3 years combined. Love to see the numbers increasing! I would like to invite any auxiliary member to attend our meeting to keep up with what we are working on in the auxiliary. We are always looking for fresh ideas and volunteers for meals and events so attending a meeting is where to find out all the information. If you would like to run for an officer position or vote, please come to the nominations and election.
In closing, thank you to everyone for allowing me to sit as Vice President for 2 years and serve you for the last year as your Madam President. It's been an honor and I am very blessed to have met and continue to meet so many new faces and friends. I look forward to serving you as Junior Past Madam President if voted and approved during nominations.
